Mr. Marulasiddappa, a farmer from Kabbur Village, Davanagere district, died of electrocution while working in his sugarcane field. Smt. Indramma, wife of the deceased, was given a financial assistance of Rs.25000 under the 'Mangala Rytha Suraksha Vima Yojane' - an accident Insurance scheme started by MCF at no cost to farmers.
