Mangala Dealers Training Programme

Fertilizer is the kingpin in process of agricultural production. Judicious use of fertilizers in the right combination, right type, right soils and for right crops is a pre requisite for efficient agricultural productivity.

Due to lack of knowledge among farming community, unbalanced fertilizer nutrient application is a common phenomenon in our country since ages, it is more acute in intensively cultivated & irrigated areas.

"Fertilizer Dealer" is a important link between the manufacturer & the farmer, he can be a change agent for shaping the farmers approach towards efficient use of Fertilizers.

A well informed dealer having sound knowledge on improved methods & various other aspects of crop production can easily motivate a farmer by providing him a helping hand.

Having considered the importance & role of a "Fertilizer Dealer" in educating the farmers, MCF.Ltd organized a residential "Mangala Dealers Training Programme" for selected fertilizer dealers of Hubli, Davangere & Raichur area from 23rd June to 25th June 2005 at the Training Institute, UAS, Dharwar in collaboration with University of Agricultural sciences, Dharwar.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr.B S Nadagouder ,Director of Extension , UAS, Dharwar.

Mr.H M Kshetrapal,Vice President,MCF.Ltd & Mr.L H Patil, Deputy Director of Agriculture , Dharwar were the chief guests at the inaugural function.

Mr.Subramanya Bhat, Zonal Marketing Head - Hubli highlighted the objectives of the programme.

During the course of the programme following topics were covered by the Scientists & experts from the University & other related agencies.

  • Cultivation practices of different crops
  • Role of Plant Nutrients
  • Plant Protection Measures
  • Speciality Fertilizers
  • Fertilizer Control Order (FCO)
  • Value Added Tax (VAT)

The programme concluded on 25th June 2005 under the chairmanship of Dr.K A Kulkarni, Registrar,UAS, Dharwar.

Mr.G Srikantaiah, Joint Director of Agriculture was the chief guest.

Recognizing the participation, Certificates were given to all the dealers who attended this programme

The Certificates were handed over to the dealers by Dr.K A Kulkarni, Mr.G Srikantaiah & Mr.Subramanya Bhat.

29 Mangala Dealers were trained in this first ever residential Dealer Training Programme.
