Mangala Dealer Plant Visit Cum Award Function 2007

The dealers are a vital link between the manufacturer and the end user, the dealer plays the role of an advisor, guide and financier to the farmer and as well as helps in building a strong brand image.

As in the past, as part of dealer motivation exercise, a dealer plant visit cum award function was organized during 19th to 25th February 2007 at Mangalore covering the entire operating territory consisting of 8 areas.

The award function was designed to educate the dealers in terms of production process and to recognize the dealers for their efforts in promoting Mangala products during the periods 2004-05 & 2005-06 as well as entertain and motivate them.

More than 350 Mangala dealers from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh participated in the programme.

Each day the dealers were received by the Management Committee members at factory gate followed with a special pooja at Sri Siddhi Vinayaka temple in the factory, then the dealers were divided into small groups and taken round the plant by the plant Engineers, who explained the various steps involved in the production of different types of fertilizers, quality control aspects, logistics procedures and environment friendly & safety measures practiced by MCF. This was followed by a technical presentation and a question and answer session. Documentary films on Safety, Granulated fertilizers and latest developments in agriculture were also screened.

The award function was held in the evening, at the picturesque venue of MANASA WATER PARK, Pilikula, Mangalore. The Awards consisting of Best Performance Territory Awards and Area Excellence for over all best performance were presented to the winning dealers by Sri Deepak Anand, Managing Director and other members of the Management Committee, amidst blazing crackers and thundering music. An audio visual on award winning dealers was also played on the occasion. 72 Mangala dealers were honoured during this programme.

23rd February 2007, the third programme was a very special event graced by the presence of Sri S R Gupte, Vice Chairman, UB Group along with Sri Deepak Anand, Managing Director and all the Management Committee Members.

The prestigious “Mangala Rathna” award for the over all best performance and tireless efforts in building the Mangala brand during the period 2004-05 & 2005-06 was presented to M/s Universal Fertilizers Corporation , Salem, Tamil Nadu. Sri. S R Gupte, Vice Chairman, UBGroup presented the prestigious award.

The participating dealers were thrilled by the unique manner in which these awards were presented.
