Mr. Deepak Anand Marches to Market for Interaction with Dealers & Farmers

Mr.Deepak Anand, Managing Director, made his maiden visit to market along with Mr.Kshetrapal, Vice President (Marketing), on 23rd & 24th January 2006. During his whirlwind tour covering Bangalore, Mandya, Mysore and Hassan districts, he met the 'Mangala' dealers and farmers individually and in groups in important places like Kengeri, Bidadi, Ramanagara, Channapatna, Mandya, Maddur, Pandavapura, Mysore, Holenarasipura and Hassan and he met nearly 200 'Mangala' dealers and 50 farmers. While addressing the 'Mangala' dealers, he stressed on the following:

1. MCF believes in servicing every dealer based on his loyalty. Every dealer should disseminate the knowledge for production of healthy and quality crop in addition to providing agri-inputs.

2. Need of the hour is integrated nutrient management. Every dealer should popularize Granulated Fertilizers, micro-nutrients, particularly Zinc as its deficiency is causing ill-health not only in human beings but also in live stocks.

During his visit to one of the Sugarcane crop demonstration plot, where Zinc Sulphate is used, he was astonished to note that by adding just 10 kgs of Zinc Sulphate per acre, a farmer was expecting to harvest additional 10 tonnes of yield per acre, which would translate into nearly Rs.9,000/- per acre extra income.

All through his tour he impressed upon the entire marketing team to work towards the prosperity of farmers and spread the message of integrated nutrient management and its benefits to every farmer.
