“Mangala” Dealers Factory Darshan cum Award Programme

Among the fertilizer manufacturers, MCF has earned a special place and distinction for honoring its dealers once in two years in a unique way by giving awards for best performance, which could only be compared to any Bollywood film awards function. The process of selection is through a panel of judges who select dealers based on the products and quantity sold, loyalty, mode and method of payment. All those dealers who qualify for the award are honored at a glittering function, which would be remembered for a very long time.

Normally award function is held along with dealers plant darshan programme with a view to motivate others dealers to try and win awards in future years. Accordingly the programme for preceding two years ie 2002-03 and 2003-04 was held at Mangalore in four batches between 21st to 27th of March’05,wherein more than 300 dealers from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh states took part in the programme.

Each day’s programme started with a special pooja to Sri Siddhi Vinayaka temple in the factory, then the dealers were divided into small groups and taken round the plant by the plant Engineers, who explained the various steps involved in the production of different types of fertilizers, quality control aspects, logistics procedures and environment friendly & safety measures practiced by MCF. After a brief recess, all the dealers were given a technical presentation followed by question and answer session.

For the award function which was held in the evening, the dealers were received by the Management Committee members at the picturesque venue of MANASA WATER PARK, Pilikula, Mangalore. The Awards consisting of Territory, Area and for Over all best performance were presented to the winning dealers by the members of the Management Committee, amidst burning of crackers, music and to a standing ovation of entire MCF team with their families. In all 123 awards were presented.

On the last day of the programme a very special and prestigious award “ MANGALA RATHNA” which is given to the very best dealer of MCF was presented to M/s Desu Veeraiah Sons, Ongole, Andhra Pradesh for selling 43500 MTs of Mangala fertilizers and for purchasing the entire quantity on cash terms. The award was presented by Sri. D P Mehta, Managing Director.

Each of the dealers, who were present were so delighted by the unique manner in which the awards were presented. Many dealers who did not qualify for the award took oath to win the award in the coming years.
