Seminar on Banana Cultivation 
January 2005

Seminar on cultivation of Banana crop was organised on 6th January 2005 at Trichy, Tamil Nadu state, in collaboration with National Research Centre for Banana ( NRCB), Trichy. 

Dr. S Sathyamoorthy, Director NRCB inaugurated the Seminar.

Mr. M L Babu, Senior Area Manager, MCF Coimbatore, explained the various farm development activities undertaken by MCF in the service of farmers.

Mr. Subramanya Bhat, Senior Manager(Planning & Development), MCF Bangalore, released a technical booklet on Banana cultivation, specially brought out on this occassion.  

Crop specialists from NRCB gave technical presentation on different agronomical aspects of Banana cultivation.

Over 150 banana cultivators from Trichy & neighbouring districts participated in the seminar.
